Jersey Town Torn Over Gay Pride Flag

In Rutherford, NJ opposing sides are going at it over the placement of a gay pride flag.

A small but outspoken number or residents have began circulating a petition that will prevent a rainbow flag from flying over the Rutherford borough hall to commemorate gay pride month (which occurs annually in June). The group, Rutherford United says that any flags flown the don't represent all the people will foster division.

Since the resolution to approve the flag was passed in April; anti-pride protesters are not expected to have a significant effect on the upcoming festivities.
