Recreational MJ Sales Start In Michigan But Not Detroit

Looks like they're off to a bad start.

Recreational marijuana sales began last weekend for a select group of Michigan residents. Notably excluded from the list were municipalities with high African- American populations.



In the latest edition of commentary, Anye explains how it may be up to residents of Detroit and similar locations to further protest for legalization.


City managers around Michigan have certainly been hesitant to approve any legality of recreational cannabis sales within their jurisdiction.


Currently, 132 communities have opted into the system, while 1,411 communities have opted out. Those out include Detroit and almost every surrounding community in the Greater Detroit area.
