Nike scraps Betsy Ross kicks over racism concerns.

According to news reports former NFL player Colin Kaepernick potentially saved Nike a PR nightmare. It all started over the planned release of Betsy Ross themed sneakers featuring the early American flag that she's famous for.

At first we didn't understand what the big deal was about until some twitter user's point out that white nationalist have been using the flag as a logo of sorts. Thanks for the schooling.

While some are congratulating Nike's commitment to social issues; others see it as yet another example of Nike alienating anti-liberals. Arizona Gov. Ducey announced plans to withdrawal incentives related to a new Nike plant in retaliation. No word on how that will effect local jobs.
