Hamburger Mary's Owner Suing Dept. Of Health

The popular gay-themed burger restaurant chain Hamburger Mary's is suing the Florida Department of Health for discrimination.

In a case involving a local hepatitis A scare, ABCActionNews.com noted. Kurt King, who owned Hamburger Mary's Restaurant Bar and Grille in Ybor City, alleges the health department and Dr. Douglas Holt—Hillsborough County's public health head—"treat homosexual persons differently as demonstrated by the false reporting of Hepatitis A," according to a lawsuit.
