Gay Strip Club Files Bankruptcy

Atlanta is notorious for two things; its LGBT population and strip clubs. That's why we were a little surprised to hear that they were filing for bankruptcy. According to The Georgia Voice dancers and their attorneys may be the cause for the calamity. Of course we have our own theories.

Five people who used to dance at Swinging Richards sued the club for misclassifying them as independent contractors to save the parent company having to pay wages. The club has started and stopped a GoFundMe aiming to raise 1 million dollars. Since they filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy, the club will remain open while they rearrange their finances.

Now here's our take. Atlanta is a majority African-American city. From what I can tell, Swinging Richards doesn't seem to cater to the black LGBT audience. That's just a hunch.
