Jordan Cordel On Why He Gave Up On Los Angeles

Updated: Aug 25, 2022

Will he still be performing at the BET Awards?

In an exclusive interview with newly named Icon City Austin correspondent Austin Vela of the aptly titled "Austin Show", the unsigned R&B crooner reflects on how his musical career is flourishing better in Austin, Texas than it did in L.A. Jordan cited ever-increasing rent and gas prices as a motivating factor. Like many independent artists, Los Angeles's high cost of living forces many to choose between creativity and survival.

The self-assured singer is not going to let that stop him tho. According to Jordan, he's going to be performing at the BET Awards as part of a competition called "Who's Gonna Make It". Now, this is before the pandemic so who knows what the future holds.
